        Well okay, happy end was a bad choice of words from beginning, but I
insist that the overall tone of the book's ending is a way more positive
that the movie's. Although, it's some years now that I've read/seen
either.

        Nope, I recently read both 2001 and 2010 so I have them well on top of
my mind.
