Then there was this animation movie about post-nuclear war. It wasn't bad, 
either. Hmmm... it was called "When the Wind Blows" and it was based on a 
book by Raymond Briggs - the same guy who wrote "The Snowman".

And The Snowman... oh boy, the animation movie made of _that_ book is... I 
mean... it's beautiful.

Can't remember the directors of these movies... gotta check imdb.com for 
that info.

In Finland, 1980s was the time of peace marches. Some nuke shelters were 
made, too, but the main trend was painting a peace symbol on your face and 
marching around the city with a candle in your hand.
