hm, now that's sound logic. :)

this is one of those stories that dounds fake, but trust me, it's true. i
once got pulled over for doing 85mph (137kph) in a 65 (105) zone. i had a
big old BMW at the time. when the cop walks up to my window, he says, in a
very tired voice, "i'm about to go off for the day - if you have a good
reason why you were going so fast, i'll let you go." my car had this
real-time fuel efficiency gauge, and i pointed to it and said "if i go
over 80, i get almost 40 miles to the gallon" (which was true). he said
"have a nice day" and walked away.
