Sorry, I guess it was me that did not express myself well enough [here](https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/40787#issuecomment-2241633631). What I meant is introducing a new parameter for specific sensor instead of adding it to `BaseSensor`. `soft_fail` should be kept as it is unless we all agree to do a breaking change in airflow 3.0. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
