This is why I think `start-rc-process` goes a (little) bit too far (cc: @ephraimbuddy) for example - I think it just does "everything" but it also means that unless the script detects it, release manager will not really look at all the intermediate steps and understand what they do - which they should. Also I think that it is also GOOD (or even GREAT) that the release steps fail from time to time because of some trivial changes we've done. This indeed makes the RM work a bit more difficult, but also it makes the RM to actually **look** what's going on and fix it and check that things are still working as intended (and not as actually programmed). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
