Verified #72068 in `apache-airflow-providers-cncf-kubernetes==10.23.0rc1`.
- Installed the RC wheel into a clean venv (Airflow 3.3.2). `pod_manager.py`
from the wheel is byte-identical to the `providers-cncf-kubernetes/10.23.0rc1`
tag source.
- Ran the three unit tests added by #72068 against the RC install — all pass:
- `test_xcom_sidecar_kill_failure_fails_job_instead_of_hanging` (Job path
fails loudly instead of hanging when the sidecar kill fails)
- `test_extract_xcom_returns_result_when_sidecar_kill_fails` (successful
XCom no longer discarded)
- `test_extract_xcom_reraises_kill_failure_when_not_ignored`
