related: #74555 SQLAlchemy 2.1 turns `Select`, `Row` and `Result` into variadic generics. `Select[tuple[X]]` now means a one-column select of a tuple, and rows unpack to the real, possibly nullable, column types instead of `Any`. With 2.1.4, `mypy-airflow-core` reports 17 errors in 9 files, which blocks Python 3.15, where 2.1 is the version that gets installed. No parameterised `Select[...]` spelling is valid on both versions. Helpers that only refine a select they receive are now generic over it. Helpers that build their own select return an unparameterised `Select`, which gives up the element type on 2.0 for the XCom, dynamic-region and task-coordinate query builders until the lock moves to 2.1. Nullable columns are narrowed with `is None` checks instead of casts. `get_authorized_pools` now skips pools whose name is NULL instead of passing `None` to `filter_authorized_pools`. The pool and asset-event queries already exclude NULL, so nothing changes there. There is no test for the NULL-name case yet. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes (please specify the tool below) Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5.5) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) --- * Read the **[Pull Request Guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#pull-request-guidelines)** for more information.
