Confirmed: `0` is a valid application-specific extension code in the
[MessagePack
specification](https://github.com/msgpack/msgpack/blob/master/spec.md#extension-types).
I've defined `MP_HUGEINT: Final[int] = 0` and updated both the encoder and
decoder to use it locally. That change has not been pushed yet.
