Adam Holmberg commented on CASSANDRA-16599: ------------------------------------------- bq. some companies may enable GitHub two-factor auth which blocks the raw API from working in CI [~dcapwell] can you help me understand this a little better? IIUC Personal Access Tokens can sometimes be used for orgs with 2FA or SSO auth running in non-interactive contexts. Is that not applicable here? bq. Is the python driver getting donated? I believe that is still the intent, but there is still work to do, and we were wanting to get past 4.0 as well. There's an open CEP discussion about it. imo, we should go back to bundling the source zip until the drivers land in ASF, then we could revisit how we include based on how builds and releases are done there. > Use source release of python driver from pip rather than GitHub > --------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-16599 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-16599 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Build > Reporter: David Capwell > Assignee: David Capwell > Priority: Normal > Fix For: 4.0-rc > > Time Spent: 10m > Remaining Estimate: 0h > > We pull python driver from GitHub but we should pull it from pip instead -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@cassandra.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@cassandra.apache.org
