Leo Toff commented on CASSANDRA-19104:
--------------------------------------
Thanks for mentioning Jacek’s preferences here. I updated the spreadsheet, but
ran into some ambiguities applying the Jacek's rule.
[~bschoeni] How should the following cases be handled to satisfy the req:
# 579.280 MiB (the current “human-readable” output: 607419608 bytes)
Options: 579 MiB, 579.28 MiB, or 0.57 GiB?
# 2. 32.034 MiB (the current “human-readable” output: 33590024 bytes)
Options: 32.0 MiB, 32.03 MiB, or 0.03 GiB?
Also, is it possible for me to see the full discussion with Jacek? Is it in a
mail list or Slack?
[~stefan.miklosovic] How does this Nodetool output formatting look to you? Feel
free to comment here or directly in the spreadsheet

>
> Tablestats reports output in plaintext, JSON or YAML. The human readable
> output currently has a mix of KiB, bytes with inconsistent spacing
> Considering simplifying and defaulting output to 'human readable'. Machine
> readable output is available as an option and the current mixed output
> formatting is neither friendly for human or machine reading.
