Hey @sureshanaparti, thanks for the feedback. I think your idea also seems interesting for the described problem. We could send a command to the SSVMs to validate if the URL is accessible to at least one of them before registering the template/ISO. Though, with this approach, operators would not be able to register templates/ISOs if the SSVMs are down, which I don't think would be a good change. Do you have an idea to circumvent this? If we can come up with another solution for the problem described in this PR, and the community agrees that it is indeed a better solution, I could try implementing it when I'm available. However, the solution in this PR has fulfilled my use-case, and registering entries with invalid URLs does not cause any problems (the template/ISO simply remains unavailable with the status `Unable to resolve <url>`; operators can remove them whenever they want to), so its still good for me. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
