It seems that Spark has a [hardcoded key](https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/ff3f3c45668364da9bd10992791b5ee9a46fea21/resource-managers/kubernetes/core/src/main/scala/org/apache/spark/deploy/k8s/Constants.scala#L86) for the ConfigMap, but I think this is because they create the ConfigMap and mount it. I like the flexibility of your suggested modification to the config value. I'm sorry that I've been a bit busy lately. I will try to review the code and test a bit tonight.
