Patrick Angle commented on NETBEANS-530:
----------------------------------------

Dropping this support completely breaks quite a few existing applications we
develop. While it is true that the JSR was withdrawn, this remained the best
way to create binding-based guis with Netbeans because of the first-class
support in the GUI editor. Perhaps the binding options should only appear when
the project has had the jdesktop-beansbinding library added from an external
source, like Maven, thereby relying on the project owner to obtain the Oracle
JAR themselves.

> No Bind option on the popup to create Bindings

> Trying to create bindings, created a textfield and Slider to demonstrate and
> test basic bean binding. From the Design view, I wanted to bind the slider
> to the text field.
> Right-click the text field component and wanted to choose Bind. There is not
> Bind option on the popup menu. It is not present in build #375, or #378. It
> is on NB 8.2 and NB 8.02.
