Patrick Angle commented on NETBEANS-530:
----------------------------------------
[~GeertjanWielenga] it certainly was unwise of us. We should have researched
the library further to find that it was indeed a dead JSR before using it, but
here we are. From our end, we are resolving this problem by writing a similar
library from scratch the accomplishes what we need to do, as well as make other
aspects of our workflow easier. In the interim as we roll out our new library
out across our code base, we will be running NetBeans 8.2 to make changes to
existing GUI forms that haven’t been switched over, and NetBeans 9 for
everything else.

> Trying to create bindings, created a textfield and Slider to demonstrate and
> test basic bean binding. From the Design view, I wanted to bind the slider
> to the text field.
> Right-click the text field component and wanted to choose Bind. There is not
> Bind option on the popup menu. It is not present in build #375, or #378. It
> is on NB 8.2 and NB 8.02.
