Matthew Clarke commented on NIFI-1206:
--------------------------------------
We should close this ticket as won't fix. The current functionality is what we
want to stay with. It is a typical use case where a box is dragged around
numerous processors and connections on a graph in order to perform some actions
against all selected "eligible" components. We want this behavior to remain
unchanged. It would be annoying to the end user if they needed to unselect
"ineligible" connections. A new user might not know what components they have
selected that are ineligible. This patch would add unnecessary confusion and
complication.
> UI icon for disable/enable becomes selectable when a connection is clicked

> Without anything selected the enable and disable icons are not grayed out
> slightly and clickable. When a connection is selected those two buttons are
> then made clickable. When I click on either button it correctly gives a
> pop-up with the message "No eligible components are selected. Please select
> the components to be enabled and ensure they are no longer running."
