Huge -1 on this idea. What a terrible user experience it is for someone to
have an assumption of a specific time unit and that assumption doesn't match
NiFi's assumption. There would be no error or warning message to the user
either.
"It's intuitive" is not a good enough argument because intuition varies from
person to person.
If we must go down this path, please make it so only in nifi.properties. The
PropertyDescriptor validator provides an easy way to force time period units on
the value.
