[~jskora] Understood. So I think Oleg articulated a dev-centric (and valid
view). And I believe you and Mike have presented a user centric view
consistent with current approach in NiFi. I believe what I'm looking to help
find is if there is a middle ground that is workable. If we take the view that
in the end expression of time durations should explicitly include the period
and unit then we have a good principle to work from. Our current model
requires the user to specify both explicitly. For user experience items (not
config files at this time) we can always append 'ms' when the user has not
selected something. In a way I see this as a form of 'auto completion'. This
I feel covers both perspectives.
