   @fdcavalcanti Yes, I understood that, but MCUBOOT is expected to work with 
the most up-to-date HAL, isn't it? If it's failing, it means something needs to 
be fixed. Otherwise the user could continue using an outdated HAL for a long 
time (years). I think the idea of ​​migrating to ESP's HAL was exactly to 
simplify the development "burden" and keep up-to-date with the new Espressif 
HAL! :-)
   
   If MCUBOOT can work with most up-to-date HAL, why to use a different (old) 
HAL?
