Yannick Warnier commented on OPENMEETINGS-802:
----------------------------------------------

Hi Maxim,

We've had a number of issues, apparently bound (first) to the fact that we used
an unstable version 3.0 instead of 2.2.
To be sure we can progress on the integration side and not get blocked on the
OpenMeetings server / API side, could you recommend a preferred version to be
able to use something derived from the Moodle plugin gateway you mentioned?
We already have something that should work alright, but then we had the server
(3.0) hang several times, and now I got to realize that the webservices were
just responding empty strings. Now, reinstalling version 2.2 on top of where we
had previously installed 3.0, it seems that more issues are to come as we now
have strange error messages.

I think it would be great to indicate, inside the Moodle plugin code, which
versions of OpenMeetings it has been tested with and which versions it *should*
(most probably) work with.
Also, we want to use the native SOAP Client library from PHP 5.3+ instead of
using NuSOAP, to reduce external dependencies (we love NuSOAP, but that's not
the point here), so it would be great to know if using NuSOAP was done after
trying the native lib failed, or if it was just because it was the first thing
tested out.

Thanks... and Happy New Year!

> We (at Chamilo/BeezNest) are currently developing a first plugin version for
> OpenMeetings, to be integrated to Chamilo LMS 1.9.8 (probably to be released
> in October).
> This is just a placeholder so nobody has to dedicate time on this at the same
> time (or if you do, let me know so I can add you to the team).
