The NOTICE file includes the line:
"This product includes software developed by"
I'm not sure where you got that from, but it is incorrect.
Also, the binary bundle contains 3rd party software.
This almost always means that the binary N&L files will be different from the
source N&L files.
The NOTICE files in particular must not contain anything that is not required
to be present.
So copyright notices should only be added to NOTICE if:
- the relevant software is actually included in the bundle
- the software license requires a NOTICE entry
Further, licenses must be present in the LICENSE file or in a separate text
file contained in the distribution and linked from the LICENSE file. URLs are
not sufficient. Also the version of the 3rd party software should be listed, as
license terms may change between versions.
