Now that #12065 has landed, the next low-risk consumer seems to be a thin `--check --format json` adapter over the reusable result model. I suggest keeping it strictly presentation-level: no new validation rules, preserve the existing default text output and exit codes, emit a versioned object with `schemaVersion`, `valid`, `phase`, `errors`, and `warnings`, and serialize diagnostics deterministically. A small CLI contract fixture plus parse/options/plugin-load cases would let MCP and REST adapters reuse the same semantics later. I can prepare this adapter once the maintainers confirm the preferred command-line flag name and whether JSON should be written to stdout while logs remain on stderr. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
