Updated this branch with the current dev base and preserved the existing source-branch commits in 633b1e1ba8ba3baef4dfa7377d6cfe0822458c2a. The PhysicalVertex conflict keeps both generation-fence helpers and dev's terminal-task completion behavior. An attempt to leave an initially terminal distributed state now emits an ERROR with the state key and target; equal-target idempotence and terminal winners discovered after a failed CAS retain their existing behavior. The regression checks the actual immutable log event, unchanged terminal result, and absence of persistence writes. Scoped Spotless and target-relative diff checks passed.
