on linux 0.0.0.0 allows external host to connect, while localhost would prevent external machine to connect, which would be problematic for cases like cpp_rpc(to be expected to connect from remote). Perhaps 127.0.0.1 is a better choice? Would be great to figure out the examples in each case. There is also a difference in terms of IPv6 vs IPv4, and explicitly specifying "localhost" might cause some of the problem -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
