Chris Colman commented on WICKET-5769:
--------------------------------------

Hi [~bitstorm] I really like what you have done with your fork. If we can get
general agreement to use yours as 'the one' then we can cross off a few
subtasks:

Subtask 2. You have already split the large single page into multiple pages
which makes it easier to use and read
Subtask 4. Integrate news posts - you have the latest news items up to November
- which is great!
Subtask 5. Integrate pages on current site not in new site - I think you have
done a lot of this also?
Subtask 7. You're deployment of the latest generated artefacts to
http://bitstorm.github.io/wicket-site/ satisfies the requirement of
provisioning a convenient place where people can review.

Good work! Well done Andrea.

What do other people think of Andrea's fork? Any complaints, issues, questions?

If everyone were to agree that this is 'the one' then we could knock mark most
of the subtasks as completed.

What would be the next step? Should Andrea's fork be merged back into Martin's
master branch/trunk?

> Provision screenshots or hosted pages where people can preview proposed new
> site with zero effort

> To track progress of [~martin-g]'s suggestion that we provide a way for the
> proposed site to be easily reviewed.
> Currently to review the site a person needs to clone the github repo then
> install ruby then install jekyll then run jekyll on the source pages to
> generate the website then finally open the pages in a browser.
> I agree with Martin - the process of reviewing the proposed new site should
> not be that hard. ie. either provide screen shots or someone could host the
> pages on a server whose URL we publish to anyone who wants to preview the new
> site design.
