Looking at the code, it looks like the default value setting was added to the
declaration in May of 2021. The documentation states:
{quote}Failsafe plugin deprecated the parameter {{skipTests}} and the parameter
will be removed in _Failsafe 3.0.0_ as it is a source of conflicts between
Failsafe and Surefire plugin.
