Is failing with a nice error message only when {{-Pshelltest}} and no bats a
problem for some reason? I'm just curious; I'd be happy to submit a follow on
patch that did this with the enforcer plugin, for example, so that the failure
was in the validate phase instead of test (or process-test-classes as the case
may be).
