Do I get a vote? If so, then I vote NO. People who have been deliberately stampeded into a sense of immediate impending doom by coordinated disinformation "fake news" PR campaigns do not make the best decisions. A vivid case in point is the 2016 election of Donald J. Trump to be the President of the United States. When things calm down and when the current AFRINIC asset freeze is lifted, then cooler heads may prevail over the heat of the moment. Consideration of the Resource Transfer Policy can be and should be postponed until some later date when people are once again free to make rational, independent, and fully informed decisions. At the very least, no action should be taken on this policy proposal until at least this coming Wednesday, August 4th, in order to see what the outcome will be of the hearing to reverse the asset freeze. Surely, having already waited for many months for this policy proposal to move forward, it will not be an extraordinary inconvenience to wait just another 3 days to see what ALL of the relevant facts and circumstances will be at that time.
