I don't know if this will help, but yesterday Lorn posted the following to fix sound :
quickfix: ssh into the device as root, and then do ln -s /usr/share/openmoko/scenarios /etc/alsa restart qtopia Once I finally got my GTA01 running with the Qtopia build, I had the same problem with sound. Following these instructions caused the sound to start working. HTH.
