I'm not a 100% sure about the reason, but I know similar problems for an
HTC Wildfire.
You can have a look in the market if Adobe Air is available for your
device. If not you can't install the Matterhorn App. There are some
cheaper Android phones where Air does not run on. Please check the
requirements [1], although I have not noticed a reason for the problem
yet when I look at your specs [2].

How does it work?
1.) Installation:
Go to the Android Market and search for Opencast (or use the direct link

2.) Adding your Matterhorn instance to the app:
The app is initially pointing at publicy availabe Matterhorn recordings
from the University of Osnabrück (+ our Matterhorn project demo server).
Users of the application can simply switch to a different Matterhorn
installation (your instance) in the software settings -> if the instance
has been announced ;)
Announcing can be done by simply adding your installations search
endpoint
(url to your videos) to the Opencast adopters database. After this entry
students can use the app and also watch your universities recordings on
their devices.
To announce your installation, simply write an email to Rüdiger Rolf [2],
include your url and your recordings will be also available in the
application.
3.) Source code + licence

4.) iPhone/iPad and the Apple Store
We are currently making sure to inlcude all of Apple´s recommendations
regarding the review guidelines to finally also release the app in the
Apple store. There are still some open questions to answer like network
connectivity (warranted audio/video quaility settings) and Apple´s http
live streaming implementation.
