The system in question is an SE/30 with 32 MB RAM, System 7.1 with Thread
Manager and Drag Manager, OT 1.1.1, OT/PPP 1.0, Color QuickDraw, Internet
Config 2.0.2, SupraExpress 288 modem.
In the first trial, the system simply froze when I first ran WannaBe. After
reboot, I could not get the modem to establish a connection until I
reinstalled OT.
In the second trial, WannaBe ran fine. After I quit and shutdown, however, I
had the same problem as above after restart.
Possibly, the connection with WannaBe was coincidental, but I've not had that
specific problem otherwise. Of course, I read the info on the website and
realized that WannaBe was "alpha quality." Therefore, I really didn't think
much about it. You see, a couple of years ago I had some problem I don't
remember with the PPC version on a 6400. After the 68K problems two weeks
ago, I just gave up on it.
I could be persuaded to try again, though.
Regards,
Marshall
