If you touch something you shouldn't, it's extremely dangerous. As in, 
could cause the list to have one less subscriber dangerous. But if you're 
careful and limit your fiddlings to the logic board, you're probably okay. 
The act of discharging it isn't any more dangerous than leaving it charged.
