This, I wanted to know for myself for quite a while, so I'll look into it!
A 'disconnect-on-launch' cable boom would be quite cool.

If power supply turns out to be an issue, with these 68030 and 68040 boards +
HD, a LowEnd alternative could be a Classic mobo with a Floppy drive in or next
to the MacMissile(tm). The 68000 takes a lot less energy and the FD only when
needed.

As for the interface to the rocket hardware, I'd have to plug what I mentioned
earlier: <http://www.macbrick.com> That board has 8 switchable lines and 3 data
collecting lines. This one works on Mac Plus and up.
