Well, I am new to the list so I am not up on the Mac Plus+ project. I just won the Mac auction just this morning. I am an avowed PC person and have been for years, but I always had an interest in the old small form factor systems.
Here is the Mac system I won. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2019811513 I could not resist when I saw that the original purchase price of one of these units with a hard drive was just shy of $5000. I used to work on these units when I was working at a computer store in the late 80's. I always loved the form factor of them. At the time my only computer was an Amiga 500 with the 512k upgrade and two floppy drives. Now I have a house FULL of (too many) PC systems. I work as the Senior LAN Administrator at a cable television facility. We support a (television) commercial production group who work exclusively on Mac systems. The Engineering department I work in is divided into Mac Zealots and PC Zealots :-) I guess I am just trying to cross over from the dark side :-) I want to get an ethernet card into this unit and be able to write documents, save them to a network folder (I have a Snap! Server that I won a couple of years ago that has Mac compatibility built in...) and print them to a network printer. Maybe give it to my daughter to write stories on. She already has a complete PC system but this is so small it would fit in her room just fine.
