>I've checked the speaker, But the problem follows the motherboard. >From my testing I think there is a hardware problem on the motherboard. >Can anyone point me to a web page to find out where the sound chip is? Or?
<This problem is common on the SE/30, and occasionally on the SE, Classic <and Classic II. For the SE/30, replacing logic board capacitors C3 and C4 <usually fixes it. So you might look for some capacitors to replace on the <SE logic board. Of course, it would be easier to just swap the board. <Bryan Kattwinkel <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I replaced logic board capacitors C3 and C4. Still no sound. :-( Any other ideas? I don't want to swap the board because it is off the first and only computer I bought new. johnsn -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
