Given the massive drive by Apple in it's newest Macs to provide online photo
storage and manipulation-wares, I'd say you're right on target.

First thing coming to my mind was a pieced-out Compact in the wall. No case,
just guts.

Then, a slide-show software, although I don't know of any.

It's always very gratifying when a new idea for an old Mac is discovered and
implemented, it means far fewer in the landfills.
