I used HyperCard for something quite similar a few weeks ago. We had a
party here, an I set up 7 Mac's for light/screen effect. The 2 compacts had
a HyperCard stack running, with 30+ cards with B/W graphics on them,
changin every second or so. It all was receive very well. A very simple
'repeat - forever go next card every 25 ticks' loop did the trick.

And regarding the pictures: I pasted them from the scanner screen via a
screendump into the cards. Turned out great!
