They're the serial based standard PhoneNet devices, not ADB. Never used them myself, but they revolutionized networking ;) I read of a case where someone connected an Appletalk network between two buildings using the hot and cold water pipes. Certainly would be interesting if it's true. Oh, by the way, going back to the 800k vs HD floppy, the HD disk drive will still read 800k disks fine, the only problem would be if you wanted to use the drive on a Mac that doesn't read HD disks.
