This is turning into a Really Useful Thread! I just got an Asante EN/SC 10T
last week, too. I haven't gotten it set up yet, but I'm learning a lot from
this thread and will keep you all posted.

I'm set up sort of like Stuart, with an additional wrinkle: I've got a
dedicated, hardware firewall between my DSL router/modem and my hub. The
router uses NAT to provide a non-routable address to the outside of the
firewall and the firewall then applies a second NAT to provide non-routable
IP addresses for all the machines on the inside network. The local ethernet
LAN currently supports GNU/Linux and Windows boxen, but with the arrival of
the Asante adapter, I should be adding Compact Macs to the network Real
Soon Now.

I'm thinking about hooking up the Asante adapter to the LC 475 and using it
(the LC 475) as the bridge to my ethernet LAN for the LocalTalk network
between my orphans (Oliver, Annie, Tweedledum, and Tweedledee - the last
two are a Mac Plus and a M0001 Mac with a Plus upgrade). The LC 475 will
also act as file and print server for the orphan band.

Has anyone else out there set up a similar arrangement? Any particular
gotchas I should be aware of?
