Probably not. As mentioned, pull the card. Make sure
you reattached the sound wire (it sure ain't a cable)
when you reassembled. That way you can listen for the
beep. If this is the first time that you traveled in
the guts of a compact, it's quite possible you didn't
properly connect all the cables. It's easy to overlook
something.
