My 50MHz SE/30 makes quite a nice print server for legacy printers. I 
have an HP Deskwriter C hooked up to it's Printer port and an ethernet 
line linking it to the network. He could also mean a modem > ethernet 
router.

If you remove the floppy drive and thus the hard drive as well ?? and 
run it off a nice quiet external drive it should be possible to get 2 
ethernet cards in if you use a pair of Asante cards. It's a crazy idea 
but.....
