If you install Open Transport and OT/PPP it makes 7.1 nearly indistinguishable from 7.5.3 (and 8.1, for that matter, as far as internet setup goes). They should work on 7.1 just fine. >Presently I have installed OS 7.5.5, Best Data Smart One 336FLX >modem, 20MB RAM, Eudora 1.5.5, Netscape 2.02. You'll have to call your ISP tech support to get the DNS addresses if you don't already know them. >Configure PPP Control Panel - The button "Open" is not active, so now >I can't even click on the Open button. Make sure MacPPP or FreePPP is in the Extensions folder. You may consider trying Open Transport. If you're running 7.5.5, it should already be there. Search for Network Software Selector.
