A bit back the -p said an in a later post I supported:

If I'd saved all my failed Miniscribes, I'd have a model of the Brooklyn Bridge built 
with them to sell you. Like all things electric, you only guarantee them until the 
switch is turned on. If one was going to select a drive to install into an SE, I would 
suggest it not be a 20 MB from anybody unless you are restoring a buff museum piece. 
If a choice is to be made between a Miniscribe and Quantum actually at hand, I'd 
recommend the Quantum saving the Miniscribe as a backup. Sort of like keeping your 
baldest tire in the trunk.
