hopefully it will just be enough of the advert to identify it as an 
advert.  ;-)

No - the absolution only comes for messages of apology which don't 
repeat the advert. ;-)

That all depends on timing, I guess. When I spy an ad, I probably should 
check for a follow-up apology, but I just tend to work through messages 
chronologically.

When I have a really bad day, I guess. Real aim is to pre-empt flame 
wars that sometimes follow OT posts.
