Now that's interesting.  And this was in a Model 125 Laptop, not one 
of the later notebooks?  I've got a couple of larger hard drives 
around here somewhere.  Like a 120 MB and maybe a 340 or 520 or 
something.  I'll have to give that a try.

Did you put those in the Silicon Disk slots or the RAM slots?  I know 
the Silicon Disk will support 4 MB SIMMs.   I've been meaning to test 
it with 16 MB SIMMs.  But the RAM slots should only support 4 MB 
total.  Using the Mac Plus or Mac SE ROMs, the address map is limited 
to 4 MB of RAM isn't it?   If you put the 4 MB SIMMs in the RAM 
slots, is it possible that they worked, but were used as if they were 
1 MB SIMMs, still giving you 4 MB.
