first, check the cables, maybe unplug and replug them in case the
connections oxidized, next, with whatever formatter you originally used,
update/replace the driver without formatting, the software should let
you do this.  this is what apple recommends for drives that suddenly
don't work and i've seen it work a few times.  if they won't show up in
the formatter, try scsi probe (you might want to move them to an
external case or unused drive bay on another machine and change the id
while you work with them), if they won't show up in scsi probe the drive
or machine may have a serious problem, but like i said reinstalling the
driver on the drive usually works.  norton and the other various
utilities can't really do anything with a drive that won't mount.
