3.5" to 2.5" SCSI adapters are very hard to find, and not cheap either.

I wondered about trying one in the 512ke with Dove SCSI card I have, but 
dire warnings about the marginal nature of the PSUs scared me off.

As it happens, I'm planning to try that Mac with the portable external 
re-chargeable SCSI drive I have this very night, building a full system 
with applications for the 512ke. Expect that most of the 120Mb on the 
2.5" SCSI drive will stil be empty at the end!
