Here's a shot in the dark: Add Desktop Mgr to System (6) Folder on floppy. Boot a 68k Mac that has OS 7.x on HD. Insert floppy while holding down Command and Option keys, iow, rebuild the floppy's desktop under OS 7. Also, it might be a good idea to make sure that the only invisible files on the floppy are desktop files. If you see Appleshare PDS file definitely delete it.
