-- Hi Phil, Don't be sorry, what you say is absolutely true. I would keep the old part especially because there people on this list who can fix these things and want to work with them. Fixing them is out of my area of experience. I am a keeper of things that work well for me-I own a 1978 Dodge slant six van and a '87 BMW. both bought new. They have and still serve me well but now parts are drifting out of existence. I really don't care for this throwaway culture of ours and try to do what I can not to contribute to it. At one point soon, after I've had a chance to visually check the board I'll hunt down a replacement if nothing seems to show. It's not a economic way to repair something because if I replace the analog board and that wasn't the cause of the problem, then I am faced with replacing the power supply, etc...
