Okay ...I googled around and found an old copy of Toast 3.0.2 on the net
(and I'll buy a legal copy on eBay as soon as I can: just curious). It's a
single file download, no other "parts" to it.

When I start Toast, the application apparently runs just fine ...but it
doesn't "see" my older Yamaha 4x4x16 CDRW as a burner. Durn. (Yes, the SE30
running System 7.1 sees the drive just fine, and I can pop in CDs and they
mount just fine.) And it ran (on a Windows box) just fine, last I used it.

Does anyone have this same drive, and have it working as a burner? Which
version of Toast? Or whatever? Am I missing some kind of extension or cp or
something? Does someone have the hypothetical missing part, and could email
it to me?

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated (if y'all don't know, no
one will).

Even a fuggidaboutit is fine if you _know_ this drive won't work on the
given hw-os-ver set.

Even a pointer to the right place in the FAQ would be just fine.

TIA
