There are some things that should be checked first.
1...Check the 2 jumpers on the Asante that set slot address. The slot
address is best at "09". The jumper settings are marked on the backside of
the Asante.
2...On the daughter card, set the slide switch to "TPL".
3...Check the extensions folder for a couple of Ethernet extensions. If
they are not there then either reinstall system software, selecting
ethernet, or run the installer that is on Apple's Network Software
Installer 1.5.1 disk.
4..Run the SlotInfo 1.0a2 application to see if Asante is recognized.
